I can’t believe that anyone who knows me or reads what I write doesn’t know about this by now but just in case you need a reminder, tiny house fundraiser tonight!!!!
On June 5th, we opened up a shop.
We built a work shop and tiny house factory – correction, the people who will be living in the first tiny houses built the shop.
Then dug in and started building a tiny house with the help of volunteers and the new home owners and future home owners
It was a long way from start to where we are now, 53 days and 398 volunteer hours later:
So, join us tonight 5:00pm until 7:00pm, 4235 B Argosy Court, Madison, WI,
come celebrate the near completion of the first tiny home! Get a tour, see our workshop and help us congratulate the homeowners! Also, we will be auctioning off our first items from our new product line made from recycled wood!
If you can’t make it you can you can donate through our fiscal agent online (scroll down and donate to Occupy Madison) or send checks to: Center for Community Stewardship (put Occupy Madison in the memo line) 120 South Franklin St., Madison, WI 53703-3414 (The first $4,500 will be matched by an anonymous donor!)
But we’d rather you bring the check to the event! And Help us Celebrate!!!!
If you can’t donate money, items that you could donate:
Lumber: 2xanything, 1xanything. NOT painted or pressure-treated
Plywood: Exterior grade, half inch or less, any grade (CDX is fine) NO OSB or chipboard.
Interior paneling: Real plywood (not masonite) light colors preferred.
Doors: 32″ exterior door
Windows: Double-glass casement (the kind on hinges that crank out.)
Paint: Exterior primer like KILLZ or Bullseye.
Metal roofing or siding
Trailer wheels and tires
Closed cell foam insulation
Hardware to hang doors (hinges, knobs, etc)
Cedar siding
Exterior deck boards (preferably not treated)
Pallets
Tiny microwaves
Dorm size refrigerators
Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors

And even if you can’t afford anything at all, just come anyways and enjoy the food, fun and tour!
