Tuesday Morning Round Up

Here’s a slice of recent news . . .

EDGEWATER TIF PUBLIC HEARING THIS WEEK
TJ breaks it down for ya. And reminds us, yes, this is about schools.

SHERIFF DEPARTMENT GETS HIRING FREEZE, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE
Prudent, indeed. If a study comes back saying that there are 15 extra deputies, it only makes sense to freeze hiring until they figure out what to do . . . Sheriff Mahoney doesn’t return calls to comment. Seriously, what can he really say.

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES
Wow, if this doesn’t just about sum up the electoral system. Qualifications be damned. This was said about me potentially running for Mayor:

She may know more about city government than anybody, but really, what does that matter on the campaign trail?

HOW ABOUT SOME ISSUES?
Making the point from the above article.

THIS JUST SEEMS TACKY
I’m not sure if its the clip art and awful website or the idea of Crime Stoppers making money off the emotions of a high profile murder.

MORRISSEY ON PHAIR
Another person who thinks Phair would not be fair.

NICE LETTER
Nice of the judge to write this letter. Its not often that people say nice things about lawyers!

AFTER THE FIRE
What’s the point of fining people AFTER the fire, isn’t the point of the ordinance to PREVENT the fire?

WHO KNEW?
There is not end to the jokes and puns you can make about a water utility starting on fire . . . seems odd. I wonder how much it costs to replace it?
