Sigh, there is so much wrong about this, but it is required by the federal government and the better job that is done, the better we can demonstrate the need in our community . . .
Federal funding requirements state Dane County must participate in national Point-in-Time count of all sheltered and unsheltered individuals identified on the night of Wednesday January 28th. Homeless Service Consortium is seeking volunteers to canvas Dane County locations with our provider agencies to provide an accurate account of unsheltered individuals who are homeless. The unsheltered count will begin at 10pm and end at 2am. Central Team will begin at 2am and end by 6am.
A mandatory training will be held at 5pm next Thursday January 22nd for everyone interested in participating in the unsheltered count (Location will be emailed once secured.) If interested in assisting homeless providers during the PIT please register at the link below:

Agencies receiving CoC funding or ETH funding are required to send a representative to the training and participate in the street count. All staff members participating should register.
