This story is so old, many people in Madison today don’t even know what you’re talking about until you remind them. But, its not just the Cap Times, even the State Journal Editors understand why this “sweetheart deal” sucks. Best part of the deal, that he can never run for office again!

What’s the rest of the story here? I can’t imagine its ok to use a sheriff’s vehicle for campaigning . . . did they find he wasn’t campaigning, perhaps? I’ll be interested to see the rest of the deal . . . this was a poorly done story, but I”m sure it fits the editorial board needs.
