I. have. no. clue.
Clearly, Occupy Madison exhausted all our options . . . which is why we started building tiny houses. Occupy got kicked out of city property, county property (front lawn of Human Services Building), private property, county campgrounds . . . and determined there is no legal place to go.
I sent this email to the committee members.
I don’t get it – the vote last night seemed to hinge on the fact that committee members thought this was the wrong place for this discussion – but if not the City County Liaison Committee, then where? Have you read the description of the committee?
Madison General Ordinance Sec. 33.09(1) (2/2014 – formerly 33.26) – Establish and maintain liaison between the Common Council and the County Board for the purpose of conferring on matters of mutual interest and to provide a means for advising both governing bodies on matters where there may be an apparent conflict or difference in interest between the City and the County.
Seriously asking, who is supposed to deal with this if not CCLC?
No response.

Here is the video from the meeting where they justify their actions – not a great video, but you’ll get the point.
And I sent this one to the council members and county board members – I only got one response – it was snarky, but on my side.
Re: no legal place to go?
Reporters are asking me today “what’s next” for the people who sleep at the CCB. I have no answers. None. Occupy exhausted them all. Homeless Services Consortium today, with 50 or more people in the room – also has no answers and no volunteers to step forward to work on it. Several stepped up to work on the families issues – but none for the singles at the CCB. May I ask, who is going to answer the question, what’s next?
